About this class
Overview and goal
Using C language or Fortran, students create parallel computation programs to solve relatively easy tasks in large-scale technological calculation, which students with mathematical and engineering knowledge might have in common, and analyze data supercomputers have executed with the programs. An example of the tasks is parallel computation about explicit calculus of finite difference on diffusion equation. This class is an intensive course during the summer vacation so that graduate students at all graduate schools related to computational science can attend.
Operation
This class is offered in cooperation with Graduate School of Informatics and Center for Promotion of Informatics Education.
