Major research theme
[Mathematical Bioinformatics]
Our ultimate goal is to investigate how genome sequences (DNA sequences), which are made up of approximately 3 billion letters, store the information required to re-create a human being, including information on individual differences, and the mechanisms by which this works. Our studies concerning bioinformatics and systems biology are distinguished by their focus on the “development of bio-information analytical approaches based on mathematical principles” and “mathematical analysis of life.”
